Steve, look at the error above. The upgrade proceess breaks when updating ws_upgradelog.

From what you're saying, the script will then upgrade 3.5.2 to 3.5.3, correct? It never gets that far.

    Please advise, and thanks.

This is correct and not an error. The upgrade process will take you through the 3.5.2 steps and then the 3.5.3 steps.

    Hi Support,

I have a 3.5.1 install of VB. A few weeks back I installed -only- the security patch files for 3.5.2. Admincp reports the install as 3.5.1

I have followed the directions for upgrading, and I have a duplicate copy of my production db copied into a new database. I have uploaded ALL of the files in the 353 zip to a "forums2" directory for testing.

When running /forums2/install/upgrade.php, the page redirects to /forums2/install/upgrade_352.php?rand=355

    I then see:

This script will update your vBulletin installation to version 3.5.2
Press the 'Next Step' button to proceed.
All XML versions in the upper right indicate 3.5.3

    Step 1 reports:

    Step 1) Miscellaneous table alterations
    • Adding Skype field to user table
    • Altering regimage Table (1 of 1)
    • Altering userfield Table (1 of 1)
    • Altering language Table (1 of 1)
    • Altering smilie Table (1 of 1)
    • Altering user Table (1 of 1)

    Step 2 reports:

Step 2) Upgrade to vBulletin 3.5.2 Complete!
    • Updating Version Number to 3.5.2... done

    With the following error:

    Database error in vBulletin 3.5.2:
    Invalid SQL:
INSERT INTO ws_upgradelog(script, steptitle, step, startat, perpage, dateline)
    VALUES ('upgrade_352.php', 'Upgrade to vBulletin 3.5.2 Complete!', 0, 0, 0, 1137628230);
MySQL Error : Duplicate entry '0' for key 1
    Error Number : 1062
    Date : Wednesday, January 18th 2006 @ 03:50:30 PM
    Script :
    Referrer :
    IP Address : 999.999.999.999
    Username :
    Classname : vB_Database
Now I'm lost. admincp now reports that I'm running 3.5.2.

Did I just upgrade to 3.5.3 or 3.5.2, and how do I get around this error?

    Thanks in advance.
