  • vb3.5 doctype incompatible with javascript menu

I just installed VB3.5 and am using a javascript menuing system on the rest of my site developed by: Opencube.com

I have VB displayed in a table that occupies the right hand portion of the screen whose width is "*" and the left column is 125 pixels (for banner ads's etc).

The javascript menu does not display properly with:

    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

however, when I remove the doctype altogether VB does not display properly inside it's <TD> and get's chopped off on the right.

any ideas on how to correct this?

vBulletin is written in xhtml/css you can find information about this recommended html markup on w3.org, it shouldn't be to hard to code your custom code properly in xhtml.
