CRONs not running when board is turned off?

Hi!

Do schedules tasks (=cron jobs) I set up in my AdminCP not run when the board is turned off?

If so, how can I run at least certain cron jobs even when the board in not active?

Cron jobs will still execute as long as users are trying to browse your forum, even when it is turned off.

Hmm, that's weird, because when I deactivate my forum (and I also tested this on a locally installed fresh 3.5.2) there are no crons executed anymore....
Maybe I'm missing something there.... I had to edit global.php for another "THIS_SCRIPT ==" conditional to make them execute again even when the board is closed....
