WYSIWYG editor not working (reply/quick reply)

I just upgraded from 3.0x to 3.52 and the editor is Frozen, you can type and post but not use smilies or the editor buttons, they are frozen and do not respond to clicking or mouseovers.

It's the same way in reg. reply and quick reply. I have tried disabling and enabling AJAX and all three types of quick reply and still the same thing.

I searched here and on vb.org and could not find anything.
    Thanks for any help

Make a new default style, no custom templates, and try again. Press Control F5 after loading to make sure you update your cache.

My guess is, is that you have a 3.0.x style running on 3.5.x which doesn't use the latest javascript calls and variables, etc.

Floris, I am running a "purchased" 3.5 specific style. Someone did an upgrade on my forum, it was a difficult job as there were a lot of hacks involved.

Is it possible that the part that sets up the editor was not updated, ommited from the update somehow? I am also getting the following problem.

In Admincp, even if I choose to have to click on a button to use Quick reply, nothing happens. The only way to use QR is to leave it as "no button to press"

Would you be willing to take a look at the files?
      Thx,
      Ed

Did you test yet with a default style where no templates are customized?

Just did, it works fine with def. style so what does that mean? I went to the site where I bought the style, and it's working fine there. I left a message on their forum (http://x7x7x7.com) but no reply yet.

btw, which templates control the look of the wysiwig editor? Maybe I can reinstall 'em or something.

This is a problem with that style. You will need to get the author to update it for 3.5.2.

Steve, that is what it looks like, except it does work on his own site, using that same exact style Will ask him to look at it.

I got it to work, let me know if I did it right, if there are any consequences. IT was attached as a sub-style (daughter style) to The 3.0 version, so I reattached it to the Default 3.5 style. Now it works. A few things are missing (probably because they were done for 3.0, right?) How do I get them back. One at least is a VBAdvanced Module.

For support re the vBA module you'd be best asking over at vBAdvanced. However, you might like to see if the code for the module has been released for vB3.5 as many (maybe ALL) modules for vB 3.0 won't work in vB3.5.
