    Deactivating a Paid Subscription

We've just made some changes in our paid subscriptions. (Actually, where we orignially had 4 different paid subscriptions set up in order to handle the different lengths of subscription times, we now have the ability -- THANK YOU! -- of having them as one subscription, and setting up different time-periods and costs. So that's what we've done.) If I make the now-unneeded subscriptions inactive (uncheck the "active" box in the subscription manager), what happens to the existing subscribers for them? Do they maintain their privileges until their current subscription time runs out?

The existing subscriptions should remain active.

You can also try this, although I have never tested it so there might be unforeseen problems.

I did go ahead and transfer all of the subscriptions to the one that had the most members signed up. Since all four of the subscriptions had members switched to the same usergroup, I assumed this would not be a problem. So far so good, and no weird things have cropped up.
