After upgrading to 3.5 Problems with Sidebar Ads

Good afternoon everyone...

I was running VB 3.0.8 and had a bunch of side bar ads simple coded as follows:

I had simply added that code into one of the templates and it worked fine, but for some reason now I cannot figure out where to stick it in VB 3.5.2...

I am trying to have it look similar to www.ls1tech.com
