  • Restoring old mysql database?

I deleted my forums folder and reinstalled the forums from scratch, but I made sure to backup my database through the VB control panel before I did that.

How do I go about restoring that database so I can get back my users, posts, etc?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The only reliable method of restoring a database is with shell access via telnet or ssh. Please see the instructions here:

Why did you reinstall from scratch?

When I upgraded to 3.5.2 my new template from Extreme Pixels got all screwed up and I didn't know how to fix it, so I did that and reinstalled the template... Now I need my database back. Can you please help me?

Still not clear what you did. There is no reason to reinstall because of a bad style. At this point you need to follow the instruction in post #2 to try and restore your db backup.
