"Find Updated Templates" Confusion

Guys,

I'm running 3.5.0, with plans to upgrade to 3.5.2 as soon as I can get some clarification regarding template reversion.

I noticed that there are alot of template changes between 3.5.0 and 3.5.1, and there are some template changes between 3.5.1 and 3.5.2.

If I use the "Find Updated Templates" feature in my admin CP, I come up with only 2:

header
postbit

Is this accurate? are these the only two I need to revert to successfully upgrade from 3.5.0. to 3.5.2.?

There are more changed templates than that. They do not show as "updated" until you upgrade.

O.K., so would I use the official release postings to compare which templates need to be reverted from 3.5.0 to 3.5.1, and then 3.5.1 to 3.5.2?

What is the "find updated templates" useful for anyways? seems if it doesn't keep track of all templates that need updating regardless of how many updates you've skipped, it's pretty much useless.

The announcement threads contain specific changes. The "Find Updated Templates" page just says which templates have been changed.

The "Find Updated Templates" page can be used after an upgrade to see which of your customized templates have been changed in the new version. The announcement threads list all changed templates, but if you haven't customized those templates then they don't need to be manually updated or reverted.
