    Approved Email Domains/ISP for registration

    Hi Y'all,

We have many users who are using a gmail or hotmail account and if they get banned, they simply open a new account.
We have very few and limited ISPs in our country and everyone has an ISP email account.
I want to have the registration run through "Select your mail from approved ISP list". That way, if I ban a user, he'll need to go through a lot of hoops to re-register as I will not allow the free email ISPs to be used.
    Now,. how do implement this?

You can ban entire email domains in your:

Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> User Banning Options -> Banned Email Addresses

...but there is no "white list" that allows you to specify which domains are accepted.

Well... a white list is a desireable feature.
Having the ability to ban a user just so that he will register again in a split second is defeating the purpose.
As providers in our region provide you with up to only 5 idents/mailboxes, it is limiting the users to bypass the ban and prevent them from re-registereing under a diff username.
It doesn't sound like a very difficult feature to implement. is it?

go to banned email addresses and type in stuff like this..
put a space inbetween the domains you dont want them registering from.

        @yahoo.com @gmail.com @excite.com

like that.. they wont be able to register from those domains..

          That I've already done.
In my country there are very few service providers, and it makes sense to use a limited short list of approved ISPs rather than listing the entire world.
I've already listed about 20 domains of free email accounts and the list keeps growing.
It would make much more sense to have a shorter whitelist of the 12 ISPs in my country.

Wonder if you could lock down your server or mail sever so it could only be accessed via or access (ingress and egress filtering) the known IP ranges of your country's ISP's as a way to attack this from a different angle?
