Delay in sending out new user activation emails

    Hi,

I'm getting complaints about new user activation emails not being sent out for several minutes. A few people have complained that they're not getting the activation emails at all (which I assume happens because they get dumped into the Spam folder).

I just tried a test registration and it indeed took several minutes for the email to arrive into my Yahoo account.

I use Pair for hosting and run 3.5.1.

    Can someone help?

    Thanks.

A few minutes? Frankly this is a server or routing issue. There's nothing you can do from the vB end to speed this up.

Yahoo mail has been having serious problems. Some emails have been delayed 24 hours or so at the worst point. It is sparodic and not as bad, but yesterday it took 3 hours for a post to a group to appear.
