Custom Avatars/Profile pictures in the file system
Is this info in this post - still relevant for 3.5.2 - I plan on upgrading from 3.0.9 and need to know if it's still necessary?

I cannot upload pictures or avatars from my phone to my profile page is there a quick fix to this problem I was hoping out of the hundred and eighty fixes this will be one of the fix.
