    vBulletin 3.5.1 and mysql5 problems

    OS : Debian
    PHP : 5.1.1
    mySQL : 5.0.16

The load goes up to almost 100. Before that everything ran fine (with mysql 4.1). It's a board with about 500 users surfing it (25k regged)

It might be this query which causes the load:
select thread . *, thread.iconid AS threadiconid FROM vb3_thread AS threa...
Some kind of sort problem eventually, too.

Any info regarding to that? Thanks

Try disabling strict mode in mysql and this should fix your problems.

Sorry for asking but how do you actually turn strict mode off?

I tried the new vBulletin config entry (sqlmode) but it didn't help. How to turn it off in MySQL itself? I wasn't able to find a detailed instruction so far..

      Thanks!
