For future reference, uploading the original PHP files from the ZIP file will not erase posts, users, or settings.

If your server is not running PHP in safe mode and you expect a lot of attachments, then you should use the file system.

P.S. For attachment storage.......Database or File System? Which is better?

    OK...........

    I made a New Style.

Now the Attachment Manager states that the File Size exceeds the size limits.

Is this file size adjustable in AdminCP or is this control by the service provider???

If so, reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server.

Next, create a new style and choose no parent style. This will force it to use the default templates. Finally empty your browser cache, close all browser windows then try again. Make sure you change to the new style and view your forums with it. Do you have the same problem?

    How do I do this???

    Attachment Manager =

Action: Move from databse into File System

    Should this value be selected???

NOTE: "Attachments are being stored in the Database"
