Please help im lost...

Hi

I have moved to a new server today.
I have set the name servers for my domain.

The thing is when i goto the temp domain i was given http://82.110.105.18/bashys-place.com/forums/index.php some of the images and stuff dont work, like downloading attachments.

They also dont work on www.bashys-place.com does this mean that the name servers have been set now?

Thing is i dont know what forum is being used, my old one thats still on the old server or the new one...

Could a members of staff please take a look for me?

You need to wait until the DNS change is completed.

You'll know when you can access the new site and server by the domain name instead of the IP.

thats just it i can now, but i dont know if its still the old server or not lol

Put something unique on the new server.

Do you mean make a post? and then see if its on the domain as well as the ip server...

I did start a new thread a little while ago on the ip/bashys.... and it also turned up on the normal www.bashys... is this what you meant?

I have just posted on the shout box and its showing the same on both the ip/bashys... and www.bashys... does this mean that i can now access the server using www.bashys....
and delete the old files off the old server?

I can't confirm this myself but the DNS does not get updated for everyone at the same time. What I would do is put a note on your old site redirecting to the new IP just in case people are still seeing the old site.
