  • How do I show spiders in main page?

    Hi guys,
I looked over some vBulletin boards and I saw number of boards that shows spiders (Google,Msn, etc.) at the main page in the Who's online section.
I know I can turn the detection of Spiders On/Off but I never saw an option to display the spiders name in the main page, normally spiders are counted as guests.

Is it a hook or is it built-in ?

BTW here's an example board: http://www.2pacboard.net/index.php?styleid=17

    Thank you.

Is that what you're looking for? I'm not seeing it on the forum you linked to.

Actually, do not install that hack. It is almost overwhelming because of the number of code changes.

Andreas rewrote the hack as a Product here. There are still a code change or two but much better than hacking up a bunch of files. Unless I see something otherwise, I would assume that it is compatible with vBulletin 3.5.3.

Degree of difficulty in installing this add-on is about a 3 out of 5. Only do this if it's really important to you.

Also very important you must download and install a recent Spiders XML file. This file tells vB which visitors are Guests and which are Bots.
