DB size...

I was just downloading a back up of my database and was floored at the size.
My phpBB DB back up done before my vB install was 25 megs. My new vB DB is still downloading right now .. it's at 450 megs and growing..... My site has only grown but a few hundred members since the install of vB.. umm is this normal? Does vB enlarge your DB that much? Or is something sinister going on?

It could be that your members are uploading a lot of attachments, which are being stored in the database?

Ahhh.... never thought of that.... Does phpBB use the file system setting for attachements? I never noticed.

You can change it admincp-->attachments-->attachment storage type

It doesn't come with it, it's a MOD you can install.
