New Posts - drop down menu....

Hi,

Does anyone know how to change New Posts into a drop down menu. I want it so it has 3 options, first one would just be All New Posts and then the other two would be category specific. As we have two categories and would like users to be able to see all new posts or simply choose which of the two categories they would like to see new posts from.

Would be most grateful of any help.

You can use links such as:
search.php?do=getnew&forumid=X

Change x to control which forums you get New Posts from. You can also use forumid=X,Y,Z to show 3 forums and none others.

WOW feldon... I didn't know about this. If I ever needed to show threads from a sertain forum only (such as my moderator forum) I coded the search to have &exclude(a,b,c,d,e,f,g,h,i,etc) with every forum I didn't want posts from.

There's also a Plug-in over at vBulletin.org that lets users pick and choose which forums they want results from when they Get New.
