Maximum [img] tags counting Smileys?

I'm running a Photography forum.

I want the users to post a maximum of 4 photos ([IMG] tags) in a post.

This is set.

The problem is that if a user add a smiley, it's counting it as a IMG tag

Is there a way to not count the smileys ?

This requires modifying the code. We cannot officially support code modifications or forums running modified code, however you can try searching or asking for help with this over at www.vbulletin.org.

If he wasn't requesting that this be 'fixed', I will. It may be intended to work that way, but realistically you aren't going to want to lump smilies in with img tag restrictions.
