URGENT: Functions.PHP Error has brought down forum

We need immediate help:

The following page shows when going to our forums:

Unable to add cookies, header already sent.

Never mind. It has been fixed.

But this has raised another question for those who work with php files.

I typically access the php files through CPanel , which manages a wbsite mail and has a File Manager.

I was told that this is not the best means to edit php files because CPanel has been known to recogize blank spaces that VB files do not like extra spaces.

What we found was that Line 4369 had some extra blank spaces. Once removed, the forums loaded find.

Question 1: Is using Notepad okay? (without the wordwrap on?)

Question 2: Do you favor CPanel? Or FTP? Or some other means?

Re upload the vbulletin files again and then put the tools.php file inside the includes/ directory and run the rebuild bitfields option.

This should fix it.

Personally I use UltraEdit for file editing and FlashFXP for file transfers.
