Problems with GD and Image Verification.

I have looked but I cannot find anything concrete in the way of help here. I know for image verification I need GD installed .. which it is ... see below

[jasonf@whisky 542 0 ~]$ gdlib-config --all
GD library  2.0.11
includedir: /usr/local/include
cflags:     -I/usr/local/include
ldflags:     -L/usr/openwin/lib -L/usr/local/lib -R/usr/local/lib

However the detected GD version in the AdminCP says N/A and the webserver error log contains the following

PHP Fatal error:  Call to undefined function:  imagecreate
truecolor() in /usr/local/apache2/wwwroot/ls1/forum/includes/class_image.php on
line 1284

Am I missing something here? Help please!!

To use GD, you need to have 2 things:
- GD Installed and configured on your server
- GD Activated in the PHP configuration

I think I may have it sussed out, doing a complete upgrade of apache/php/gd etc tonight .. with any luck I will find the gd config within the php.ini during this process

Ok still having the problem after the re-install of php and mysql..

vbulletin is detecting GD now and says

Detected GD Version
2.0 or higher

In the Image settings of vBulletin Options.

But the Image verification and the sample images in the Image Settings and User Registration settings do not display still.

Problem solved with the help of vbulletin support! Thanks guys you helped alot under tricky circumstances

Problem was a CR at the bottom of the config.php file .. d'oh!!
