    Make sure this line in config.php is set to false:

    $config['Database']['force_sql_mode'] = false;

        I use 5.0 and false fixed the problem, thanks

          If you use MySQL 5, it should be turned to "true" because it will make it not use STRICT mode on vB. But whatever works I guess...
