  • Will changing my template effect the changes I've made in the style manager?

I'm looking for a new template. My users are complaing about the default one.

    http://www.extremepixels.com/skins_vb.php

That site is the only site I can find with professional skins. If I apply one of those will my settings and bits of code I've added to the style manager stay?

Also any other links would be great.

vBulletin's Style Manager allows you to have multiple styles so you can offer a choice to your member.

If you import a style as a new style, it won't effect other styles or customized templates from other styles.

Here are also some free styles: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=95

Thank you. I get this complaint from the majority of my users "It's to fat.".

vBulletin uses about 150 templates to display the various parts of the forum. If you buy a style from that website, it will contain customized templates which override (but not overwrite) the default templates built into vBulletin.

In other words, let's say you download a new style for vB and it has modified about 40 of those 150 templates to have a certain look. Even though you might be running vBulletin 3.5.1, if those templates are based on 3.5.0, then you will have a hybrid situation. This might be fine, it depends on how critical the template changes were from vB3.5.0 to vB3.5.1.

I don't want to discourage you from using forum styles available on the web, but just realize that it can make keeping your forum up-to-date more difficult.
