  • Announcements and Avatars

    Hello - Ive noticed that My usergroup avatars now show up in announcements... this obviously means that announcement posts are a lot taller than Id like them to be ....

    Ive looked for an option NOT to show avatars in announcements but Im not doing very well in finding anything.... is there such an option ?

    thanks

    Open the postbit template and find this code:
    Code:
    <if condition="$show['avatar']">
    and replace it with this code:
    Code:
    <if condition="$show['avatar'] AND !$show['announcement']">

      hmmm... sorry that does not seem to have changed anything ?

      when I say avatar - its the avatars I get when assigned by the usergroup rather that a users personal avatar.

        Realize that if you are using the postbit_legacy template (avatars on the left, posts on the right), you must apply the change posted by Floris to the postbit_legacy template instead.

          ok that didnt work either .... BUT ... i think I know why .... I dont think its a true avatar .... its just the avatar pic added to the usergroup 'user title' text ...

          is there a way then to remove 'user title' from the announcements ?

            The variable for the usertitle is also in the postbit and the postbit_legacy template.

            Around that code, add:

            <if condition="!$show['announcement']">
            the usertitle variable code goes here
            </if>
