I canīt find the boxes for the spider identification string and text.
It normaly was in who is online options but now I only see "Enable Spider Display" and thats it.
Did I missed them somehow? Did I ruined them by using a plugin or something or is it realy gone?
I have the spider.xml file from floris and uploaded it to the include/xml folder.
Will it be used if it is just in this folder?
basically add this inside before the </searchspiders> tag:
PHP Code:
<spider ident="METATAG INFO"> <name>SpiderName of Your Desire</name> </spider>
Replace MetaTag Info with the MetaIdentifier with the Spider. Name you can call it anything you want as it would appear on the "Who's Online" Page as that.
So am I missing somthing here, because right now this definatly does not seem to be an improvement.
Every time we upgrade our forums, spiders_vbulletin.xml gets overwritten so any custom spiders we have added get 86'd.
I was thinking I could add a spiders_somtethingelse.xml like we can with other xml files, but that didn't work and a check of online.php shows that it is only looking for the one file.
You shouldn't overwrite the spiders_vbulletin_xml file when you upgrade as we rarely, actually haven't yet, modify this file.
That being said, I'll see what I can do about providing what you are asking for.
Yea but if you just copy the entire upload directory it would be overwritten. You'd have to remember to remove it from the upload directory every time.
