  • [How Do I] Allowing Administrators to Post HTML

Hello. How do you allow administrators to post HTML? This is a very serious question, because I need to post a thread that uses HTML. Thank you very much.

Not possible, as HTML posting is a Forum setting and not a Usergroup Permission.

There was a hack on vb.org for 3.0.x and hopefully it will be re-worked for 3.5 as it is a very important feature in running cpa links. Try searching there

I hope changing this to a group permission is under consideration. As an admin I like to be able to post HTML in ANY forum.

PLEASE don't reply its a security issue. We're talking about admins.

Not possible in 3.8, still a potential security issue.

How can it be a security issue if it's only for admins?

Anytime html can be used it has the potential to be a security issue. Right now html can only be used in the admincp.

There are addons that will add this functionality.

Whichever version it was I released last, still works as of 3.8.x.
