  • Too many connections

Upgraded to 3.5 on Friday (8-05) yesterday for about 10 mins around 9am I got about 40 database errors of too many connections.

Then again today for about 10mins around 10am.

This is one of the emails

    Database error in vBulletin :

    mysql_connect(): Too many connections
    /mnt/webhosting/sites/m/mmogcommunities.com/forums/includes/class_core.php
    on line 260

    MySQL Error :
    Error Number :
    Date : Friday, August 12th 2005 @ 10:27:50 AM
    Script :
    http://www.mmogcommunities.com/forum...p/t-10473.html
    Referrer :
    IP Address : xxx.xx.xx.xx
    Username :
    Classname : vb_database
I've double checked and persistant connections is turned off.

This has me and my host stumped..

It's not the same script or even the same IP, but I do have alot of bots crawling around. About 2-4 on average consistently on the site.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

Didn't have this problem on 3.0.x but I can't imagine it would take 5 or 6 days to notice a problem of this sort if it was 3.5 causing it. I'm outta other ideas though

The server has maxed out the number of MySQL connections it allows. Here is more info on that error:
