    is there a way to add a "donate" link within the blue menu bar at the top of the page (the one containing User CP, FAQ etc) or the bottom one (containing contact us, vbulletin etc)?

    regards,

    admincp -> styles & templates -> style manager

    edit the "navbar" template, find

    Code:
    		<td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="faq.php$session[sessionurl_q]" accesskey="5">$vbphrase[faq]</a></td>
    after that, add

    Code:
    		<td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="DONATE PAGE" accesskey="5">Donate</a></td>
    hope this helps

      I'd stay away from editing the nav bar...it tends to BREAK the AJAX code on the drop down Thread tools after the #10 post. BDTD and had it break on me. Just ask Mike Sullivan, LOL. *I* thought it was a bug issue.

      Put it elsewhere but not there. Liz

        I don't see how the above code could break ajax...

          hadnt noticed anything break with my additions to the navbar
          and if it's true and not a bug issue, we are not supposed to edit our navbars?
          might as well throw vb in the trash and go with some other software

            Colin, here are the threads:

            Also, I've discovered it's not just everything you add to the nav bar cause I was able to add a piece of code there myself but it was a very simple piece of code that was almost straight html. I was adding a blog and added it there. But I had a coder do it for me and she tested it thoroughly. But the code we used was this simple:
            Code:
            <a href="http://www.mysouthernlady.com/forum/blog">Southernlady’s Forum Blog</a></td>
            I hope this explains what I am talking about. Liz

              You could do what this guy did and put it on a portal page in the top corner:

              Code:
              <table border=0 cellpadding=5 cellspacing=0>
              <td bgcolor="#FFFFEC" valign="top" nowrap="nowrap">
              <a href="http://www.yoursite.com/"><font color="#000000">Home</font></a> | <a href="http://forums.www.yoursite.com/"><font color="#000000">Forums</font></a> | <a href="http://www.yoursite.com/rules.html"><font color="#000000">Rules</font></a> | <a href="javascript:MyName='';ChatNow();"><font color="#000000">Chat</font></a> | <a href="http://www.yoursite.com/donate.html"><font color="#000000"><b>Donate!</b></font></a>
              </td></tr></table>

              </table>

              	</td>
              </tr>
              </table>
