    another avatar question:

How can I make it to where you need 100 posts to get an avatar?

      A) I don't believe you can. What exactly are you trying to do? Please note that there is no option to remote link to avatars on abnother server.

      B)

      1. Create a new usergroup with the appropriate avatar permissions:

Admin CP -> Usergroups -> Usergroup Manager -> Add New Usergroup

      2. Create a Promotion to promote users that reach this post level to that group:

Admin CP -> Usergroups -> Promotions

vBulletin doesn't allow users to load avatars from remote sites. They need to be uploaded to your server through the User Control Panel.

What version of vBulletin are you using?

I just uploaded a PNG version of my avatar here. I believe you have to have ImageMagick installed on your server to support PNG though.

                I'll check it out.

But I'm not talking for upload, I'm talking for linking.

I am glad I saw this thread. I wondered what that was all about.

                  Heh.

You cannot link to avatars without modifying the code. This is classified as a security risk.
