    between the 'plugin's' on 3.5
    and old hacks?

just wondering still in thought on if ima upgrade

  • #2
Well for the "old hacks" you were required to open one or more of your php files and then add, remove, or change lines of code. With the new plugin system, you use the admincp to upload your .xml plugin and you can active or deactivate the plugin at any time without code modifications. It also makes upgrading much easier since you don't have to re-edit your files every time.

We do not recommend upgrading your live forums to 3.5.0 until the final version is released. It can be done, of course. But we do not recommend it.
