  • EXCLUDING a template from <!-- markers -->

    I'm currently integrating my vB with VolanoChat Pro. It uses text configuration files which can be loaded dynamically, which I have done as Custom Templates with a non-vB file calling them.

    Problem: This text configuration file for Volano cannot be altered in ANY way. However, for right now, I need the template commenting output enabled to help me with my customization. Is there a hack or a way to exclude a single template from being marked? If the VolanoChat applet sees anything foreign in the file, it fails.

    Thanks
    Chris

    You could code your non-vb file to set commenting to off, .. faking it for those evalled templates.

    setting[addtemplatename] 1/0

    you could set it like (untested and just guessing)
    If I am wrong, you will surely understand it better then me how to do it properly

    $addtemplatename = '0';

        Me again,

        Update your fetch template call to change the default values.

        fetch_template('templatename', 0, 0)

          got it... all I had to do was add the following in my non-vB file:

          PHP Code:
           $vboptions['addtemplatename'] = '0'
