I was wrong... $posticons isn't the variable for clickable smilies, it's the variable for post icons.

I think the template you are looking for is the editor_smiliebox template in your:

Admin CP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> « » -> Editor Templates » -> editor_smiliebox

Add your content to the bottom of that template to make it show below the clickable smilies.

I know the where the $messagearea variable is, but I need to edit the code that paints $messagearea. For example adding some text below the clickable smilies. (not the post icons)

$messagearea is in the newreply and newthread templates. The clickable smilies variable, $posticons, is right below the $messagearea variable in those templates.

Where can I edit this?? I didn't find it in any templates, but I want to add something below the clickable smilies box.
