  • Banned Email Addresses

I was hoping (from exemple in box) that I could ban all hotmail address simply by using 'hotmail*' ir '@hotmail*' - this would make sense as ban lists wouldnt have to be so big.

Is this meant to work??? If not, why was 'hotmail*' in the banned email box after upgrading?

    Remove the *

    Banned:

    hotmail yahoo freemail

This will ban all emails with hotmail, yahoo or freemail in them
[email protected], [email protected], [email protected] , etc ..

Hotmail banning questions - please confirm

            Hi All ,

a few questions on this simple one please

Can you confirm the banning location to ban hotmail and yahoo- is it
User Banning Options > Banned Email Addresses

and is the actual thing to type to ban everything hotmail and yahoo simply hotmail yahoo freemail

            Then on the following line
Allow User to Keep Banned Email Addresses - Is it safer to keep the no button checked?

My goal is to PROHIBIT NEW hotmail and yahoo registrations but allow current members to use hotmail or yahoo accounts.

            Thanks a lot

            Dave

              1. Yes, but use the full domains:

              hotmail.com, yahoo.com, freemail.com

              2. Yes, it's safe to allow existing members to keep these addresses.
