Make sub forums look like the forum home display page?

I know this was talked about awhile ago.

I am just not sure of the URL to use it's something like index.php?forumid or something.

I will be hosting 3 sites forums on one forum but want to have each sub forum look like the main forum homepage.

Maybe you can achieve this by using .htaccess and or some phpinclude_start template php code to have a function/condition to match against the url entered and rewrite it to index.php ..

I am not too familiar with it, but I have seen some sites do this somehow.

yes I am going to do that based on a user preference. but I still need the path to making the sub forum look like the index page. it's a simple URL but just can't remember it.

I will poke one of the users who I know that did this.. I hope I can find his username again
