Hello.

Question for whoever can answer it. I think this is a great feature for vB 3, but I wanted to know if I can make it to where when the username isn't hovered over, there's no underline beneath the username. But when you hover over it, there is an underline.

Can this be done? If so, I would love to know how to do it! Thanks in advance.

Yeah, you can do it fairly easily. Look in your postbit/postbit_legacy templates for $post[musername] and modify the anchor tag (<a ... >) so that there's a element like this in it: class="musername_hover" (for example, <a style="font-size: 14pt" class="musername_hover" href="member.php?...">$post[musername]</a>). Go into your styles options, and add this near the end inside "Additional CSS Definitions":

a.musername_hover { text-decoration:none; }
a.musername_hover:hover { text-decoration:underline; }

After that, any anchor (<a href="...">) tag with the class="musername_hover" class element will not have an underline unless you hover over it.

You should be able to utilize the same class that you setup for the postbit / postbit_legacy for the Who's Online and Currently Active Users sections...

The templates you are looking for would be:
Who's Online Templates --> whosonlinebit (Who's Online Page)
Forum Home Templates --> forumhome_loggedinuser (Forum Home Active Users)
Forum Display Templates --> forumdisplay_loggedinuser (Forum Display Active Users)


I am not quite sure which template the showthread page uses, but it may be the same as the one for the forumdisplay (since showthread doesn't have a loggedinusers template)...

Just add the class="musername_hover" to the links for the musername in those templates just like you did for the postbit / postbit_legacy.

YOu can search all template for the variable you are looking for. in this case $post[musername]


I've done this for several templates..
Now lets hope these templates don't change in the gold version.

Sorry for the delayed response... Like Wayne Luke said, it would be in the "Member List Templates". Here is the one that I think you are looking for:

Member List Templates --> memberlist_resultsbit

Just add the class="musername_hover" to the link around the musername like you did in the other templates and you should be good to go...
