    vB Beta 7 Cookie Problem.

I upgraded to vb3 BETA7 3 days ago and since then I have been getting logout problems.

    Anyone have any ideas?

Did you try manually deleting your cookies?

In the future you might want to include all the relevant information. This will help us troubleshoot the problem.

There is nothing in the standard upgrade process that would cause this. Perhaps you could explain exactly what you did during this upgrade, including the version you upgraded from, and any other changes you made.

            Hum... ok.

            Server:

            Apache-AdvancedExtranetServer/1.3.27

            MySQL 4.0.15

            PHP 4.3.1

Upgraded from vBulletin Beta 6 to Beta 7

My users and I have never encountered this problem where you have to login basically each time you view a thread or close your browser and return back to the forum. I have done all of the basics with the cache and cookie process after an upgrade, but it just won't hold a cookie.

I have restored vBulletin settings to default and the problem still persists. To go one step further I set up my localhost again and did a fresh install of Beta 7 and created a single new thread and then closed my browser. Once again, when I returned I was logged out.

            Localhost:

            WindowsXP

            Apache 2.0.47

            MySQL 4.0.16

            PHP 4.3.3

            vBulletin Beta 7

did you close ALL instances of the browser? not just the one window?

What is your default exactly? AFAIK if you made no changes in the cookie settings and you have manually deleted your cookies, this should have taken care of the problem.

would it be possible for us to have a link to your forums?

acutally ive not had a problem with cookies since beta 3 and thats because i was working on dev forums and vb2 forums on the same site.

if you just upgraded you are going to have some cookie problems
