Can not change additional information in profile

Sorry if this is a double post but I posted this by mistake in the wrong section.

I'm getting an issue both on my test site (fresh install), and the public site (upgrade). Both on the same server .

Server: Linux bmw 2.2.18 #1 SMP Tue Mar 6 18:43:59 IST 2001 i686 unknown

PHP: 4.0.6


No one can change the Additonal information in their profile field. If you do make a change it erases the Additonal information.

This was happening before any template changes were made.

I can make changes on this site if that helps.

What happens if you make a new custom profile field, preferably as some type other than a text field? How about if you edit a user in the control panel?

If I add an additional field. Like a input to display a flag of you country. Same thing happens. Any thing listed under additional information in the profile field is not registering. If you already had something listed prior to the upgrade you are fine.

If edit from the control panel the changes do take effect.
