  • Can you limit the forums accessible by Search Engine Archive

I noticed that the search engine archive function allows anyone to access all the forums even ones that a normal unregistered guest can't access. Is there currently a way to limit the forums accessible with this function? Or is this something in the works?

Try logging out and viewing the archive again. I'm fairly sure private forums will not show up if you are a guest.

      That was it--thanks.

On another question relating to this topic--does anyone know if:

      1. you can modify this so the signatures of the person posting can be seen? in html?

      2. you can modify the footer of this archive page?

If you look at this archive page:

          http://forums.e3clients.com/archive/index.php/

at the bottom it says vBulletin... copyright, etc.

I don't want to remove that information but add to it in html so I can brand this page for my purposes and put a copyright notice there, etc.

Putting the copyright notice in the admin section puts the copyright on the forum pages but not here. And considering the fact that while the software program is Jelsoft's, the writing of the posts is not. The way it stands now it does not show that. And there are other reasons for modifying this as well (SEO).

Look at archive/index.php - to me it seems like it isnt in the template system.

I thought I'd bump this up. Maybe one of the devs could insert the copyright statement set in the admincp to the bottom of /archive/index.php ? I've already done a quick hack, but it'd be nice if it used what already exists.
