  • unable to add cookies, header already sent?

We just got our vbulletin installed and working and had members start signing up this morning and now when I got to our site it says:

    vb_bullet.gif vBulletin Message

Unable to add cookies, header already sent.

what does this mean and how can I fix it??

There should be more to the error message. What's the URL?

Everything was working fine this morning, but when I went to go back to the page, that popped up.

New message on the admincp link:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_VARIABLE in /home/therat/public_html/includes/adminfunctions.php on line 424

this one just popped up with the message about the cookies/headers

Do you have any idea what this could be?

Try reuploading all of the vBulletin 3 files, overwriting your current ones. Remember to backup your current files & database FIRST.

Reupload the original vB files from the vB3 zip file. Make sure youoverwrite the ones on the server.

does this mean I have to reinstall it, again, after I upload all the files, again?

We've had to install the board twice because of problems and we just got it set up how we want it last night. I think I'm going to cry...lol

No, no. Make a backup of your config file, then reupload all of the vb files, replacing your current ones, do NOT run install.php, upgrade/1/2.php, just delete them. Reupload your config, and your board should work, without having to restart. Hope you understand.

You're welcome, good luck and I hope it sorts your problems.

unfortunately...it didn't. I'm still getting the same message after all the files have been uploaded, again.

                          Any other ideas??

Have you tried to install any template or source code hacks that required you to enter stuff in the php include ?

We haven't made any template changes. The only changes made were the colors and buttons.
