  • Forum centering bug

    Hi, Guyz,

    I am sorry to be posting this here but I can't post this comment in the bugs forum, it says I don't have premission to post in there.

    The bug is -

    When I center something like a banner or something like that, my whole forum/posts centers.

    Please fix this in the final release.

    Thank you,
    DSSCandy

    There is a troubleshooting forum you know....

    THe bug is non existant. You just needt o make sure your banner code isn't having something of its own in it to center it, and that you're like a good person closes their bbcode tags properly.

      This would be up to your template editing one would assume?

        I had this proba nd it was usualy down to the use of <div> tags in your own code. There are some templates that have content centred so check them also.

          I'm not sure if this is a bug, but something seems awry. I'm having the same problem, I even removed all "center" mentions from my header tds/tables and used <center> instead so I could ensure that I close them, but everything else is still centered.

            Hey guys, I was having the same problem but then I figured out what was causing it after inspecting the code in Dreamweaver (no need to do that actually). What my problem was that I had a <table> which covered the entire page and that table's <td> tag had a center property in it. So I removed it and things were all good

            Before:
            Code:
            <table class="bodyline" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0">
            <tr>
            <td align="center" valign="top">
            <table class="topbkg" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0">
            <tr>
            <td><a href="[url="http://www.site.net"]http://www.site.net"><img[/url] src="images/lg_logo.jpg" border="0" alt="{L_INDEX}" title="{L_INDEX}" /></a></td>
            <td align="center" width="100%">&nbsp;</td>
            </tr>
            </table>
            <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2">
            <tr>
            <td align="center" class="topnav">&nbsp;<a href="$vboptions[forumhome].php?$session[sessionurl]">Forum Index</a>&nbsp; •&nbsp;&nbsp;<a href="faq.php?$session[sessionurl]">FAQ</a>&nbsp;
            •&nbsp; <a href="search.php?$session[sessionurl]">Search</a> &nbsp;• &nbsp;<a href="memberlist.php?$session[sessionurl]">Memberlist</a>&nbsp;
            • &nbsp;<a href="showgroups.php?$session[sessionurl]">Forum Leaders</a>
            <if condition="$vboptions[allowregistration] and (!$bbuserinfo[userid] or $vboptions[allowmultiregs])">&nbsp; • &nbsp;<a title="Registration is free!" href="register.php?$session[sessionurl]do=signup">Register</a></if>
            <if condition="$bbuserinfo[userid]">&nbsp;• &nbsp;<a href="usercp.php?$session[sessionurl]">Control Panel</a>&nbsp; • &nbsp;<a href="private.php?$session[sessionurl]">Private Messages</a>
            &nbsp; •&nbsp;<a href="login.php?do=logout&$session[sessionurl]">Logout</a></if></td>
            </tr>
            </table>
            After:
            Code:
             <table class="bodyline" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0">
            <tr>
            <td valign="top">
            <table class="topbkg" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0">
            <tr>
            <td><a href="[url="http://www.site.net"]http://www.site.net"><img[/url] src="images/lg_logo.jpg" border="0" alt="{L_INDEX}" title="{L_INDEX}" /></a></td>
            <td align="center" width="100%">&nbsp;</td>
            </tr>
            </table>
            <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2">
            <tr>
            <td align="center" class="topnav">&nbsp;<a href="$vboptions[forumhome].php?$session[sessionurl]">Forum Index</a>&nbsp; •&nbsp;&nbsp;<a href="faq.php?$session[sessionurl]">FAQ</a>&nbsp;
            •&nbsp; <a href="search.php?$session[sessionurl]">Search</a> &nbsp;• &nbsp;<a href="memberlist.php?$session[sessionurl]">Memberlist</a>&nbsp;
            </tr>
            </table>
            Look carefully at my third line of before and after. My reccomendation is that you check all your tags for center, or centered. Check your css too.
