  • Log Failed Admin Control Panel Logins to File

How exactly do I do that? I made a blank 'badlogins.log', uploaded it to the admincp directory and CHMODed it to 666. When I make a failed login though I just get an 'invalid file' prompt.

What value do you have in the acp options? In your case it should be "badlogins".

I put 'admincp/badlogins.log' as the path.

EDIT: Fixed it, thanks! I shouldn't have had '.log' at the end.

Seeing this thread has made me interested in doing this... How would I go about doing this?

Yeah, under vBulletin Options look near the bottom under 'Error Handling & Logging' then type the location of the file to write to in the 'Log Failed Admin Control Panel Logins to File' text window.

widgetinstance 262 (Related Topics) skipped due to lack of content & hide_module_if_empty option.
            Working...
