  • Scott - attachment as files conversion?

Any chance i can grab the conversion script you mentioned here:
    http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showt...576#post408576

NOTE: SCOTT HAS POSTED AN UPDATED VERSION HERE:

As it's only a test board I've emptied the attachmentid in the post table and also emptied the attachment table completely. When it comes to the final we'll obviously need the conversion script.

I had attachments as files hack and when I upgraded Scott made a script to run at shell to import the files back into the db. It worked great and the upgrade was smooth.
Maybe he'll post it here. If he doesn't have it I do and if he gives me permission I'll post it.

I don't think Scott would have a problem with that since alot of people used this hack!

            Here you go

run this file before upgrade to move the files back into the database.

I done this using the old vB2 files before i done the upgrade.

Thank you...but there is one step needed prior to running Scott's script, you need to add a column back into the attachments table first if you deleted this column as indicated in his original script, run this query:

ALTER TABLE attachment ADD filedata mediumtext NOT NULL

Hello, unfortunately I get the following error message when implementing the file:
Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_VARIABLE in /home/virtual/site7/fst/var/www/html/forum2/admin/attachment_upgrade.php on line 11

My table looks at present in such a way:

                  CREATE TABLE attachment (
attachmentid smallint(5) unsigned NOT NULL auto_increment,
userid int(10) unsigned NOT NULL default '0',
dateline int(10) unsigned NOT NULL default '0',
filename varchar(100) NOT NULL default '',
visible smallint(5) unsigned NOT NULL default '0',
counter smallint(5) unsigned NOT NULL default '0',
hash varchar(32) NOT NULL default '',
                  filedata mediumtext NOT NULL,
                  PRIMARY KEY (attachmentid)
                  ) TYPE=MyISAM;

                  Thanks for your assistance!

                  Gruß Andreas

Line 10 is missing a ; at the end.

                    PHP Code:
                    $path "$attachpath/$attachment[hash].file"

If I keep refreshing the page will it keep going? screw something up? start fresh each time (timing out at around the same point)?

Mozilla 1.3.1 says 'done' at around the same point, and gets the same about done...

Is there any possibility of a javascript pagination thingy like the search index? Maybe 100 per page or something?
