yes there is, make sure you have access masks enabled though .
    1. Create the forum(s) you want for your friends (duh)
    2. Look up the username of your friend.
    3. Go to his/her access masks.
    4. Set access to yes on the forum(s) you want him/her on

How do you make password-protected forums?

I checked the archive for this, and maybe it's a very basic question, but how do you make password-protected forums?

I found people talking about this feature but couldn't find where it was stated how to do it.

I am using the latest version 2.2.7 (WHOOPS - should have posted in the other area....sorry)....

    Not available yet?

For example: I have a professional site, but I have a bunch of personal friends I want to use a separate forum area, but I don't want to set them up as moderators. How do I make it so that those people have access to the one forum while excluding all of the other people?

Is there an easy way to do this without making them moderators?
