  • How to access global php variables?

I have searched through the Internet and vbulletin, but I can't seem to figure this out. I found a solution to a similar problem, but the solution didn't work for me (the solution I found was from 2005).

I have included a php file through the plugin system that queries a non-vbulletin database. The php file then sets variables such as $link_name, $link_href.

The hook location for this plugin is global_start.

I need to call these variables from the footer template and have tried coding the following into footer with no luck:

    <a href="$GLOBALS[link_href]">$GLOBALS[link_name]</a>

I also tried $GLOBAL without luck as well.

I am sure the solution is simple, I just can't figure out it or find it!

    TIA.

You should just be able to use $link_name and $link_href
