Can not upload avatar, help me :(

Hello,

I got this message when i tried to upload my avatar. My VB version is 3.0.13.

The uploaded file is not a valid GIF, JPG, or PNG file. Please ensure that it is and try again.

How to fix this?

Make sure you aren't uploading a dynamic image.

Here it is. You can see my attachment. I tried to up other one but the result was the same.

Make sure you allow BMP files in the Attachment settings in your AdminCP.

Where are the avatar file type settings? I have the same problem as the original poster, in 3.0.13. Users can upload from their PC fine but not from remote URLs. I can find an avatar manager for local avatars, and I see the filesize and pixel size settings in the user group, but where do you allow BMP as suggested above?

Even using one of the small icons on our server (like the thread "folder" icon at the top of this page) doesn't work, saying "The uploaded file is not a valid GIF, JPG, or PNG file. Please ensure that it is and try again." when it clearly is.
