  • Multiple installations - one database

I need to offer access to mye forum on another domain. Is it possible to install vbulletin on another domain/server than my "main" installation, and let this new version display posts and let users on this installlation make news posts/reply, read/write to/from the main installation?

Each instance of a vb board requires a license. Just a FYI to keep that in mind. 2 domains, 2 instances .. one database .. requires 2 licenses.

You can install vBulletin multiple times in one database, each install should have a unique table prefix, like

    forum1_
    forum2_
    forum3_

So you get three unique user tables, three unique post tables, etc.

Now .. to merge these together so you can register on one site and be a member on all the sites requires customization. For this we do not provide support. You have to check with vBulletin.org where many others have done this (*unofficially).
