I'm at my wits end trying to figure out how/why every now and then our server load reaches abover 20 and vBulletin is not available to the public. I raised the threshold for serverload to 20 in the admin area, but I don't want to go higher.
My hosting company isn't helping much, but they seem to think it is in the vBulletin area of our site. They pointed me to a page to watch Apache Server status, and when I got word the load was high, i saw this a few times:

Can anyone help me? My client is going to kill me if I don't get this fixed. Thanks!
