Thread permissions question

Hello,

I have a question about the thread permissions. I want to use something like "archive" option in the forum, so instead to delete a thread I will be able only to archive it and it wont be accessible to the members (or guests) It will still appear like a normal thread, but only the admin and the mods will be able to read it. Is there such kind of mod, or any other way to do it?
I searched in the default permissions list but couldnt find.
Other way could be to use the "closed" thread option, with the same effect, only admin and mods can read it.

You can create a new forum with the appropriate Usergroup permissions and move these threads there.
