Passworded Forum

I made a forum today at our site that is suppose to have a password on it . This is what I have done and it didnt seem to take . I tried a combination of checking off those other boxes but nothing seemed to make it so the password works . Do I need to make this a catagorey and then add the forum ? Kind of stumped at the moment as to why the PW wont pop up .

It won't show the password for you while you are logged in as an admin. It only shows for regular users. The best way to check is to have a test account as a regular user and try it with that account.
