Try looking for somthing abit more specific... something that wont showup that often, for example go make a post in the forum with your name, then search for it..

HAve you checked each forum to ensure that index new posts is set to on?

    Done.

Set the Search Index Minimum Word Length to 1.
Set the Search Index Maximum Word Length to 20.
Spent an hour and a half rebuilding the search index.

Still getting the exact same message when searching for "last name" without the quotes.

    Any other ideas?

You haven't set a mininum or maxium word length.. so its not indexing any posts...

You need to set a mininum, and a maxium, and then rebuild the search index.

3.0.7 Search Function Not Working Properly

    1) Go to http://www.carolinarides.com
    2) Login Username: test Password: test
    3) Either search on the dropdown or use advanced search, and type this query "last name" without the quotes.
    4) Press search.

    You'll get this message:

Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.

The following words are either very common, too long, or too short and were not included in your search : last, name
I get the same message whether I type in a specific poster's username or not. Why? In my vBOptions in the admincp, it looks to me like all my settings are correct:

    Any ideas?
