  • Is there a way to make even registered/logged in members image verify --contact us--

Just curious, I know with 3.09 there was a new option to image verify for non logged in users/guests. But just curious if there is a way to make it for all members... or should I not really worry about it if they're logged in?

Thanks for the help thus far

Image verification is only used during registration. Applying this to logins requires modifying the code. We cannot officially support code modifications or forums running modified code, however can try searching or asking for help with this over at www.vbulletin.org.

3.09 included support for image verification through contact us for non logged in/unregistered users. My question is if I can make image verifcations through contact us for anyone. Can I?

No, there is no function for this. This requires modifying the code. We cannot officially support code modifications or forums running modified code, however can try searching or asking for help with this over at www.vbulletin.org.

Ummm well see this page. And you'll see what I"m talking about. Maybe I'm just not explaining myself correctly.

Is there anyway to require image verification - like the above thing - for registered users?\

(Maybe I misunderstood your last post. I was just posting this because I thought you didn't know what I was talking about)

I understood perfectly. There is no way to force register users to use image verification. Post #4 still applies.

It would be nice if new users can be forced to use the image verification when posting, say for the first X posts. That will keep out the bots.

What I'm thinking of is having it configurable depending on user group. By default users in the newly registered group will be required to do this.
              Well, there it is.

To be honest, I personally feel this would be over the top. Use the usergroups for this. Default registered usergroup > moderate new posts. New additional usergroup > don't moderate new posts. Then setup a promotion so the first x posts are moderated.

What would be nice is an option to require image verification for unregistered / registered and have the admin as global option check or uncheck these 2 options.
